Since Wessel's childhood there always was a camera around the house because Wessel's father loved to photograph. Wessel still has a couple of his old but still working cameras. At the age of seven one of his fathers best friends gave him his first camera.
After working at a graphic bureau and studio for over six years he was given the change to start as a photographer for small stuff at the number one magazine in the Netherlands at that time (Veronica Magazine). He also had to technical support the graphics department. The combination of these two things made my life a little to complex at times but if one thing it did, it made me very resilient and agile. Over the course of 10 years it made me an allround photographer, graphic designer and graphic expert on all fronts.
